Pencil This In: Arrested Development Writer & Novelist Maria Semple Reads On April 4

By Amy Cavanaugh in Arts & Entertainment on Mar 31, 2013 6:00PM

2013_03_30_semple.jpg Maria Semple, author of Where'd You Go, Bernadette (one of the best novels we've read recently), will discuss her writing on April 4 at 7 p.m. at Tribune Tower. Her novel is riotously funny, which isn't surprising, given that Semple used to be a writer for Arrested Development.

The book pieces together emails, letters, F.B.I. documents, and other correspondence to try to track down disappeared Seattle mother Bernadette Fox, a quirky designer who abhors Seattle, technology, and other parents and makes life difficult for her daughter Bee.

Tickets are $15 (or free for Printers Row members) and available here.
