Our Picks For Mad Men Premiere Parties

This Sunday, the sixth season of Mad Men begins with a two-hour premiere. To celebrate the return in true Don Draper fashion, we recommend hitting the town in your best 60s-inspired attire and watching with a cocktail in hand. Thankfully, these premiere parties allow you to do just that.

The Logan Theatre's party is from 7 to 10 p.m. Local distillery Leatherbee is serving up $5 craft cocktails and WeTheory will provide Mad Men curated tunes in the lounge before the show starts at 8. In addition to the specialty cocktails, there is a full bar and drinks can be taken in and ordered in the theatre. During commercial breaks, the Fly Honeys will be performing to keep the 60s vibes going. If you're looking for a new outfit or a new 'do for the event, Comet Vintage, Dovetail and Penny Lane are all offering discounts to get your look ready for the party. Period-appropriate attire is strongly encouraged and the "Most Dapper" and "Most Dazzling" will be rewarded with prizes. Tickets are available in advance for $10 online, or at the door for $15, although they do anticipate the event selling out.

PUBLIC Chicago's party also runs from 7 - 10 p.m. and includes 60's inspired cocktails and passed canapes. There will be a DJ spinning 60's covers from 7-8, during commercial breaks, and after the show. The prize for best 60's themed outfit is a complimentary overnight stay at PUBLIC. Tickets are $25 and reservations are available via email at librarybar@publichotels.com. If you can't make it for the premiere, they will be showing Mad Men every Sunday at 9 p.m.

If you're looking for a more low key party with free admission, head to The Blue Line in Wicker Park. They also plan on showing Mad Men every week, along with $6 Mad Men cocktails. The show starts at 8 p.m.
