Normally, when we see a T-Shirt emblazoned with "I'm Revolting," we shake our heads and move on. But at the media preview for Food Revolution, a new online show promoting local foods, chefs and producers, the tagline made perfect sense.

The TV show is the brainchild of Chefs Rick Gresh and Cleetus Friedman, in partnership with producer David Greiner. It's meant to be a radical new approach to food television, focusing on the nitty-gritty of production rather than glamour shots and celebrities. We're particularly excited that it is going to focus on Chicago specifically, as food television series often relegates our wonderful city to a single episode.

"Food Revolution" also has an important social media component: The show will invite viewers to interact with Facebook and Twitter and actually give them something in return. They may be invited to filming sessions, connected with gifts from sponsors — anything to keep the viewers connected.

The first episode "airs" (online) in May. Take a look at the preview below for a quick taste of the revolution.
