  • The arcade bar trend just won't stop! We reported last week that both existing arcade bars, Headquarters and Emporium, both decided to expand their offerings. Now another contender is entering the field. Redeye reports that Buck's Saloon in Boystown will close this weekend to become "Replay," an arcade bar. The owner, Mark Liberson, is a gay nightlife magnate — he owns Hydrate, Halstead's and Elixer, and now he has bought the Buck's space. The cocktails will come from the team at Elixer, plus there will be 25 beers on tap and approximately 20 retro arcade games. Look for the new bar to open in mid-May.
  • After teasing us for over a year, Naha Chef/Owner Carrie Nahabedian has finally announced the details on her new restaurant, Brindille. It's on the same block as Naha and will be opening on April 22. The cuisine is French, and most of the personnel come from Naha. Eater reports that the prices will be similar to Naha and that the menu, which "revolves around Nahabedian's love of Paris and French cuisine" hasn't yet been released.
  • If you're a fan of Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce, then watch out — a new restaurant devoted to your passion is opening in Wrigleyville. On April 19, Sweet Baby Ray's Smokehouse, Bourbon and Beer (say that three times fast) will open at 3478 N. Clark Street. The restaurant will have a smoker that can hold 850 pounds of meat, and the bar will have more than 100 bourbons and a selection cocktails and craft beers on draft.
