Saveur Magazine's nominees for best blog are the way we populate our foodie RSS feed every year. There: Insider tip officially given away. This year, two of our favorite local beer blogs are up for awards and they need your help.

Guys Drinking Beer is one of our go-to sources for local beer news. They have do tons of original reporting, as well as advocacy for reform in the laws governing brewing and distribution. If you're looking for a combination of intense tasting notes and geeky beer politics, GDB should be on your feed — and they deserve your vote. A bonus? Former Chicagoist contributor Karl Klockars is one of their founders. We asked him how he felt about the award. "This is quite an unexpected honor - I tweeted about the nominations half-jokingly a few days ago, but didn't expect anything like this. Earning any sort of recognition is awesome, but this inclusion from the SAVEUR folks is pretty killer."

Good Beer Hunting has the most beautiful beer and brewery photography in the entire universe. For most of 2011, we hosted many photos from founder Michael Kiser (alongside text by now-brewer Paul Schnieder of Solemn Oath) and he has continued to do amazing work, touring the Midwest (and beyond) in search of compelling stories about beer and booze. If you don't follow this blog, do so. And be sure to add Kiser on Instagram (GoodBeerHunting) for your daily dose of gorgeousness.

How do these blogs win? With your votes, of course. Go here to vote, and let's make sure one of these hometown favorites take home the award.
