The Blackhawks have been the story in the NHL during this lockout-shortened season with their record-setting start and their position atop the Western Conference standings. The Hawks have rebounded nicely from that rough patch after their points streak was broken and, are now 8-1-1 in their last 10 games and hold a four-point lead over Pittsburgh for the best record in the league with the postseason on the horizon.

Chicago's sustained level of play has the team facing high expectations from the fan base heading into the Stanley Cup playoffs and tickets to the first two rounds go on sale at noon today. The tickets will be available for purchase exclusively at ticketmaster.com or by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000. There is a limit of four tickets per customer.

The playoffs could be a completely different scenario for the Blackhawks. Sunday's game against St. Louis provided a peek at how playoff-bound teams will combat the Hawks' speed and puck-possession game with physical play on the boards and clogging the blue lines when Chicago is in transition. But hits don't win hockey games.
