The photography of Vivan Maier has reached a wide posthumous audience almost solely on the basis of going viral on the internet and on social media. Investigative artist Pamela Bannos presents her latest findings on Viral Vivian with "The Reinvention of Vivian Maier," a new exhibition at the Chicago History Museum opening April 16. The exhibition explores the Maier phenomenon, which Bannos says only could have happened in the Internet age.
