Today is April 15, that most dreaded of days — Tax Day. Even if you filed your taxes months ago, you can still take advantage of all the restaurants running deals for tax day. Yeah, it's an arbitrary non-holiday, but any excuse for free food is good enough for us. All of these deals are good for today only unless otherwise noted.

• On Tax Day, we need a drink. So it's perfect that C-View is offering 15 percent off your tab. They are also offering a special "taxed" cocktail. After work today, head up to the rooftop bar and knock back a few.

Bistronomic is offering a special one-night-only prix fixe deal for tax day. It's $30 for a 3-course meal, and bottles of wine are half off.

• At The Franklin Tap, the restaurant won't be charging any tax today. Even better, cocktails are 50 percent off.

Michael Jordan's Steakhouse is offering a selection of their bar bites at a deep discount. Five dollars will get you their amazing garlic bread, MJ sliders or flatbread, and they'll be serving Metropolitan Krankshaft for $5 to wash them down.

• At Carnivale, if you dine in tonight you'll get a $15 gift certificate for a future visit.

• At Maya Del Sol in Oak Park, customers get to exercise their financial muscles on tax day. Their menus won't have any prices today; after the meal, guests will get to pay what they think is "fair." This is the fifth year Maya Del Sol has run this promotion.

• At Wave, any customer who orders an entree will get a complimentary appetizer of their choice. How's that for a deal?

• The best deal of all comes from the 312 Dining Diva. Tavern on Rush is offering a one-night-only special for their 15th anniversary. $15 for a bottle of wine and an entree - and the choices include things like a petit filet mignon, grilled salmon and BBQ pork ribs.
