Chicagoist Weekend Theater: Patton Oswalt On Batman

Comedian and actor Patton Oswalt was a much-needed ray of sunshine during a very dark week. Oswalt penned a brief but passionate post on his Facebook page in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombings that called for us to remember "good outnumber you, and we always will."

Then there was Oswalt's improvised filibuster on NBC's Parks and Recreation that was posted online where he was able to connect the Disney-owned Star Wars and Marvel Cinematic universes in a fanboy's dream film match-up, which had the A.V. Club wishing Oswalt was writing Star Wars: Episode VII.

Then there's this fantastic video from CollegeHumor.com that has us wishing Oswalt would play the Penguin in the next Batman film.
