Weekend Blotter: Three Killed, 13 Wounded In Weekend Violence
At least three people were killed and 13 people were wounded in citywide violence over the weekend.
Donald Holman, 37, died after he'd been shot three times in the leg around 8 p.m. Friday in the Austin neighborhood.
Lucas Zimmerman, 34, died after he was found shot in the arm and in the face in a convenience store parking lot in the Irving Park neighborhood around 12:10 a.m. Saturday.
A 22-year-old man was shot and killed in the Back of the Yards neighborhood around 5 a.m. Monday morning.
A 25-year-old man was seriously wounded around 3:20 a.m. Sunday morning when he was shot in the back while walking on Addicson Street across from Wrigley Field.
A 51-year-old man was shot in the abdomen during a domestic dispute in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood.
The body found in the Marquette Park lagoon last week has been identified as 14-year-old Julius Campbell, who had been missing since March. The boy's family says he was bullied by gang members.
Prosecutors say Lakeshia Baker and her boyfriend Michael Scott fatally beat her 1-year-old son Bryeon Hunter because of his whining and crying. Baker had originally claimed her son had been kidnapped.
