Well that three-day period of sunshine was brief, wasn't it? We're back to clouds and rain today but the silver lining here is the temperatures are mild and normal for this time of year. We know those of you still cleaning up after last week's flooding don't want to see more rain, but the levels predicted by Skilling Central are such that they'll lead to a temporary increase in water levels, at best. Still, if you're in Albany Park or have a home along the Des Plaines River, it's a cold comfort. The Des Plaines River still has a flood warning in effect, so be safe and keep sandbagging.

Looking at the extended forecast, we have shorts weather on the way starting Friday.
