Danny Brown is playing Bottom Lounge, but he isn't the most interesting person on tonight's bill. That honor goes to opener rapper Kitty, formerly known as Kitty Pryde and known to her mom and dad as Kathryn Beckwith. Her woozy beats and teenage rhymes show a lot of promise — her song "okay cupid" took over the internet last year for a brief spell--and she seems possessed of as attitude and self-awareness that might help her live past her initial burst of teenage fame. We hate making the comparison, but it must be made, that she sounds a lot like Uffie, only with a depth of honest emotion that only the unironically unguarded can show. Hey, remember last time we compared an artist to Uffie? That might bode well for Kitty! Download her latest mixtape for free below, and then head out to see her at Bottom Lounge tonight.

Bottom Lounge is at 1375 W Lake St. Purchase tickets here.

Update: The show is sold out.
