Author Neil Gaiman is stopping through Chicago on his U.S. signing tour this summer with an event at the Music Box Theatre presented by the Unabridged Bookstore.

Gaiman will perform a reading and sit for a signing in support of his latest novel, The Ocean at the End of the Lane. The story is described as "a novel about memory and magic and survival, about the power of stories and the darkness inside each of us." We trust his latest effort will bring the usual imaginative wild ride we've come to enjoy in his lovably creepy tales.

The price of a ticket is $30, which includes a copy of the book. Plus, you'll have a chance to meet Gaiman in person during the signing portion.

The Music Box Theater is at 3733 North Southport Avenue. Unabridged Bookstore is at 3251 N. Broadway. "Gaiman Unabridged" is at 7 p.m. on July 9. Tickets are on sale now.

UPDATE: And now it's sold out.
