While the coming summer still seems so far away, the gentlemen behind last summer’s Craft Beer Boat want you to get fired up for their upcoming sunset cruise, scheduled for July 31, by offering you a seat on the Craft Beer Dinghy, setting “sail” on May 22.

I know what you’re thinking. A dinghy? Setting sail in May? We’ll pass. Rest assured, you won’t be sailing the choppy waters of Lake Michigan during this gloomy spring, but rather you’ll board a bus at Monk’s Pub at 6 p.m. that will take you to several beer destinations around Chicago. Destinations include Bar On Buena, Shoes Pub, the soon-to-open bar First Draft, and The J Parker.

As if the event alone wasn't enough to draw your attention away from other Chicago Craft Beer Week events, they will also raffle off two tickets to the real Craft Beer Boat at the end of the voyage. Tickets for the Dinghy are $15 and include all the beer you can handle while aboard the bus, including beers from Sixpoints, Allagash, and selections from the Artisanal Imports catalog, but each sailor is responsible for food and drink during the stops.

Monk's Pub is located at 205 W Lake St
