Renegade Craft Fair, Vintage Bazaar Team Up For Bellwether

2013_4_30_bellwether_poster.jpg There’s no shortage of craft fairs across Chicago. From larger events like the Renegade Craft Fair, Vintage Bazaar and Dose Market to Fete Chicago and DIY craft shows, there’s something to appeal to craft lovers of any level.

The folks behind Renegade Craft Fair and Vintage Bazaar have joined forces to create Bellwether, a “roving market + happening + feast” that kicks off June 8 and 9 from noon until sunset at Hideout. On the surface, it’s a good pairing: Both Renegade Craft Fair and Vintage Bazaar have built-in audiences with the events they’ve curated over the years, and Hideout is no stranger to hosting their own craft fairs and events like Soup and Bread and Veggie Bingo. Bellwether immediately becomes an alternative for people who wouldn’t attend Dose Market or Fete Chicago.

Organizers promise an array of artisanal foods, records, books, vintage wares and antiques, handmade pieces, original artworks, furniture, and homegoods, all while sipping on craft beers, Midwestern wine, specialty cocktails and food trucks. It should be a fun time. Bellwether also has an event planned for Sept. 21 and 22 at the Garfield Park Conservatory. They also have after-hours events on June 8 and Sept. 21 at Hideout and the Garfield Park Conservatory, respectively.

Vendors interested in participating at either Bellwether event should email info@followbellwether.com. The deadline to enter for the Hideout event is May 1.
