Today's Weather: May Day

By Chuck Sudo in News on May 1, 2013 1:00PM

We begin a new month with summer-like temps and partly sunny skies today. A second straight day of temperatures in the mid-80s is in the cards, along with some haze and fog possible downtown this evening, because it's going to be cooler by the lake.

You may want to savor today's weather as the mercury is set to plummet Thursday with the arrival of a new cold front. The air circulation around that storm could bring moisture from the Gulf of Mexico our way in the form of rain, possibly affecting the levels of area rivers just starting to receded from the floods of two weeks ago. At least the temps are expected to stay in the 60s throughout most of that stretch.
