If you're a Chicago food geek and you haven't been reading Key Ingredient, the Reader's James Beard Award-winning series, you're really missing out. In the series, chefs challenge each other to work with ridiculously obscure ingredients to create tasty things. Tonight, that series comes to life at the Bridgeport Art Center.

From 7 to 10 p.m., 26 different chefs will compete using five pre-chosen ingredients to create the best dish of the night. Guests get to taste everything and help decide the winner. These chefs are from places like El Ideas, Balena, Blackbird, Nellcote and Trencherman, so the food is going to be interesting. We don't know what the five ingredients are yet, but be prepared for some shocking flavors.

Tickets are $65 and are still available for purchase. Along with your general admission ticket you get three cocktails from Scofflaw, beer, wine, live music and the fun of watching your favorite chefs compete. Buy tickets online now.
