Birthday Card Suggesting All Muslims Are Terrorists Not Funny

Everyone loves hilarious joke birthday cards, but some jokes simply aren't funny. Such is the case with a birthday card made by NobleWorks, the company which created a card featuring the Aamina Muslim Doll, with such hilarious phrases as “she'll love you to death” and “hope your birthday is a blow out!” Because something as racist as suggesting all Muslims are terrorists is something that can't possibly have any kind of sad and terrible repercussions, NobleWorks owner Ron Kanfi wrote on the company website: “...as our motto goes, fuck 'em if they can't take a joke.”

The card was being sold at He Who Eats Mud, a stationary store in Boystown. Ahmed Rehab, Executive Director of the Chicago chapter of the Council on American Islamic Relations called the card moronic and told CBS News:

“The woman in Massachusetts just two weeks ago that was punched while walking her kids for no other reason than wearing a hijab on her head, was because someone thought that because she wears it, she is a terrorist.”

Rehab told The Sun Times "It’s an ugly stereotype. Muslim women who wear the hijab face dirty looks, catcalls and even abuse — and it’s connected to irresponsible ‘jokes’ like this.”

The owner of He Who Eats Mud said the card sold out but did not say if they would reorder. According to the Daily Caller, the card appears to have been removed from the NobleWorks website.
