Weekend Blotter: Woman Found Stabbed To Death In Vacant Church

Denise Warfield, 47, was found dead with multiple stab wounds in an abandoned church in Auburn Gresham Saturday afternoon.

At least nine people were injured in citywide gun violence over the weekend.

Six of those people were wounded overnight Sunday.

Three men were shot and wounded in West Englewood around 12:30 a.m. this morning.

Police say last week a man forced a woman from an Edgewater bus stop in broad daylight and sexually assaulted her.

A man in Northwest Indiana was killed when he struck a tree while attempting to flee the police.
