Well we didn't get the morning showers that were forecast Wednesday but both Skilling Central and Accuweather remain confident rain is on the way. In fact, WGN's Chicago Weather Center's forecast for today calls for the heaviest rains to hit the city since that storm front that swelled area rivers. With the rain comes a shift in the winds that will lead to a cooldown beginning Friday, with temperatures nearly 20 degrees below today's forecast high of 71.
