What better way to spend Mother's Day than by taking the woman who brought you into this world to an interactive screening of the movie Faye Dunaway credits as ruining her movie career? There's no scenery Dunaway doesn't chew to a creamy cud in Mommie Dearest, the film adaptation of Christina Crawford's account of growing up with an insane and abusive Joan Crawford as her mother. The Music Box Theatre and Camp Midnight screen the 1981 film, now a gay cult classic, 2 p.m. May 12. Dick O'Day will host the pre-show and Camp midnight will provide commentary throughout. Tickets are available online (with a brunch option at the Mystic Celt) and the first 100 people in their seats receive a complimentary wire hangar.
