Keep an eye out for an influx of famous actors around town—five television shows are scheduled to be filmed in the city, and according to the Illinois Film Office, this is a record high for Chicago.

All five series filming in Chicago are one-hour dramas. In addition to renewing Chicago Fire for a second season, NBC has picked up its spin-off, Chicago PD. In an interview with the Chicago Tribune, the series’ co-creator Derek Haas said the spin-off will portray a day-in-the-life of Chicago policemen. “There's a show in what it means to be a policeman in Chicago. So that's what we're going for,” said Haas.

Other shows slated to film in Chicago include NBC's Crisis, a political thriller starring Dermot Mulroney and Gillian Anderson. ABC will shoot two upcoming shows in the city. James Cromwell and Hannah Ware will star in the legal drama Betrayal. Mind Games portrays brothers who use psychology to solve client problems from their agency. Steve Zahn and Christian Slater star as a bipolar man and a con artist.
