Afternoon Box Score: Dunn Powers Sox Past Twins

Adam Dunn is a feast-or-famine hitter and he looks to be on the verge of sating his hunger at the plate in a major way. Dunn jacked a pair of two-run homers and went 3-for-4 at the plate to help Dylan Axelrod earn his first win of the season and give the White Sox a series win at Target Field. Dayan Viciedo went 2-for-4 at the plate, homered and drove in two runs, Alex Rios went 3-for-4 at the plate and Jeff Keppinger drove in two runs to support Axelrod, who allowed three runs in 5 1/3 innings and seemed on the verge of handing over the lead until Robin Ventura went to the bullpen. The Sox relief corps held the Twins hitless after a Joe Mauer sixth inning single and gave closer Addison Reed a much-deserved game off.
