Andrew Brochu has been moving around quite a bit lately. After Kith and Kin closed (rest in piece), he did a stint at El Ideas, was briefly head chef at Graham Elliot and then, with much fanfare, recently opened The Monarch. Apparently, The Monarch wasn't absolute—Brochu has already left.

The Aviary announced today via Facebook that he'd be joining their team. "The Aviary is please to announce that chef Andrew Brochu will be joining the team to lead our Aviary culinary kitchen in greatly expanding our food offerings." Chef Brochu spent time at Alinea, and so will be rejoining the Achatz/Kokonas family.

They promise "exciting culinary announcements" are coming. Maybe the bites at the Aviary will become more than just bites at a slightly lower price than the food in The Office. Or maybe that's just wishful thinking.
