Let's face it: Beer is winning the hearts and minds of Chicago drinkers, followed closely by cocktails. But there are still restaurants and wine bars proudly waving the flag for vino across the city. One of the newer (and better) venues is Telegraph Restaurant and Wine Bar in Logan Square. It would do great business simply as a wine bar, but the food coming out of chef John Anderes's kitchen, however, elevates Telegraph to the status of Longman & Eagle and Lula among the Square's restaurant options.

Telegraph hosts a month-long nightly wine dinner that is a steal at $60 with the wine pairings. (If you don't want the wine, the dinner runs you $35.) If you've never been to Telegraph, now would be as good a time as any to visit. No reservations are required for this dinner and it's being offered through May 29 and the food is inspired by Venice.
