It's Day Three of the CTA Red Line South Branch reconstruction and here's video created by the agency showing the length of time a midday commute takes to travel from Roosevelt to 95th Street—an average of 33 minutes.

We repeat: This is the average length of time to travel from downtown to 95th Street in the middle of the day. The first commenter on the video's YouTube page immediately called BS on that notion, adding that travel times on the Red Line's south branch can take over an hour during morning and evening rush. Regardless, the slow travel time is one reason CTA said they have to do this reconstruction in one painful five-month stretch. They've consistently claimed that travel times from 95th Street to downtown would be reduced by 10 minutes when the project is completed. We'll see.
