Dryhop Brewers Opening June 13

2013_5_24_dryhop.jpg The newest addition to Chicago’s growing list of breweries and brewpubs is ready for its debut. Dryhop Brewers announced Thursday they’re officially opening to the public June 13. General manager Greg Shuff, brewmaster Brant Dubovick and executive chef Pete Repak have been making the rounds in recent weeks, offering collaborative beers with the likes of Atlas Brewing and Solemn Oath Brewery. (Their beer with Atlas, “Oceanic Pale Bock,” was one of our favorites at last week’s “Beers Under Glass” event at the Garfield Park Conservatory.)

Dryhop is one of eight local breweries who have joined the Natural Resources Defense Council’s “Brewers for Clean Water” campaign lobbying against proposed rollbacks of the Clean Water Act. They started brewing in preparation for the opening earlier this week.

Dryhop will have their first Growler Day from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. June 8 ahead of their opening, which will be the first opportunity for people to sample their beers and fill growlers.

Dryhop Brewers is located at 3155 N. Broadway Ave.
