Jeppson's Malört Now Available In Wisconsin

Good news for our friends in Wisconsin—Jeppson's Malört is now available in the state!

The liqueur is available in Wisconsin for the first time in 35 years. Apparently, Malört was available outside Chicago for a brief time in the 1970s. Jeppson's proprietor Patricia Gabelick said in a press release that, "We've known for years that people from Wisconsin have been sneaking it across the border one bottle at a time. I'm guessing they'll be excited to see a truck of it show up at their favorite bar or liquor store."

There's probably no one more excited about this than members of the Malört Society in Boscobel, Wisconsin, which holds secret meetings at the Boscobel Hotel and initiates new members by having them take a shot out of an ashtray. That's one way to mask the bitterness.
