Today's Weather: A Hot Mess

Welcome back from a gray and cool Memorial Day weekend, everyone. Today we're in store for thunder, lightning, rain and warm weather. Skilling Central and Accuweather both predict thunderstorms in the forecast, with the worst of the storms coming in the afternoon. (Great: Two weeks of rainouts for the Chicagoist softball team.) the temperatures are expected to reach 80 degrees today. If WGN's Chicago Weather Center is to be believed, we could reach the mid-80s. The extended forecast doesn't look much better, with rain and warm weather in the forecast for the remainder of the work week. Be prepared like a Boy Scout, readers.
