Today's Weather: Batten Down The Hatches

Our dress rehearsal for July continues today with more rain, gusty winds and high humidities in the forecast, although it's pleasant outside right now. Skilling Central says the winds are expected to pick up and get stronger as we head into the afternoon and some showers will accompany them, although not on the level of last night's thunderstorms. The forecast won't please any of the 21,000 people who lost power Tuesday night and the scores of homes dealing with flash flooding. The storms are expected to be severe Thursday and Friday before the area receives a reprieve for the weekend.
