Chicagoist Weekend Theater: Bill Veeck — A Man For Any Season

Bill Veeck needs no introduction to Chicago baseball fans. His impact on local baseball is felt on both sides of town, from the ivy at Wrigley Field to the exploding scoreboard and outfield shower at U.S. Cellular Field. But he was also a renaissance man and a man of the people.
Bill Veeck: A Man for Any Season is a short documentary produced in 1984; Veeck died a year later. This is courtesy of the Media Burn Archive and, with the Crosstown Classic still fresh in our minds, shows Cubs and White Sox fans have at least one thing in common.
