2013_06_02_dinnerandbikes.jpg The Dinner and Bikes Tour, which combines vegan and gluten free food with bicycle activism, rolls into Heritage Bicycles on Tuesday as part of its 27-city tour.

The event is "a call to action for communities around the U.S. to take the lead in growing the national bicycle movement," and features a documentary, Aftermass, by Joe Biel about the history of bicycle activism in Portland. There will also be a gourmet vegan and gluten-free buffet by chef Joshua Ploeg, an interactive presentation about transportation equity by writer Elly Blue, and a food- and bicycle-themed pop-up bookstore.

Our own Aaron Cynic is documenting Dinner and Bikes through blogging, audio, video, and photo.

Dinner and Bikes will be held June 4 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Heritage Bicycles, 2959 N. Lincoln Ave. Tickets are $15 and available here.
