Happy Humpday, everyone. On Monday we expressed hope the Chicagoist softball team would finally get in a game. Then we looked at the schedule and saw we're playing today and are now holding out hope the severe thunderstorms in the forecast won't arrive until after we've laid it out on the field against CHIRP Radio. It probably won't happen, though, if the skies are an indication.
Both Skilling Central and Accuweather are predicting heavy storms beginning this afternoon and into the evening, but with the clouds outside right now we wouldn't be surprised if it started raining soon. That's as far as the two forecasts agree. Skilling has the high temp reaching into the upper 80s. Accuweather has it set for the upper 70s. There is a flash flood watch in effect for northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.
This softball season is cursed, we're telling you.
