2013_6_13_GarageSale.jpg While the name "culinary garage sale" may conjure up images of broken hand mixers and dented cake tins, never fear - this one is different. Les Dames d'Escoffier, a society of women supporting culinary education for other women, is hosting this sale. It's packed with special items, celebrity donations and more.

The sale is this Saturday, June 15, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kendall College. Some of Chicago's best chefs, including Carrie Nahabedian, Jean Joho, Sarah Stegner and Rick Bayless have donated personalized items from their collection. These include autographed chefs coats, dishes and terrine molds. There will be also glassware, vintage collections of Gourmet Magazine (drool) and more. Lots more.

Even if you're not so into the shopping, go anyway - there will be food trucks in attendance, a cakewalk catered by some great pastry chefs and plenty of swag to go around.

Tickets are $5, unless you want to get in early and get first shot at the swag. In that case, VIP tickets are $75. All proceeds go to Green City Market and Les Dames d'Escoffier scholarship fund.

Kendall College is located at 900 N North Branch Street.
