Marriott Theatre's production of I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change explores the mistakes and mishaps of love.

Two slapstick, larger-than-life shows and one gripping drama round out this week in Chicago theater.

Boeing Boeing

Drury Lane’s summer show is a fun, madcap farce that follows a ‘60s-era businessman attempting to juggle love affairs with his three flight attendant mistresses. Here’s hoping for plenty of silly scheming and hysterical plot twists. The show runs through Sunday, August 4.

Drury Lane Oakbrook, 100 Drury Ln, Oakbrook Terrace, 630-530-8300 or online.

I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change

In Marriott Theatre’s newest production, everyday love is the central plot theme as zany characters cover everything from first dates to kids to everything that comes after. Call it the slapstick rom com of musical theater. The show runs through Sunday, August 11.

Marriott Theatre, 10 Marriott Dr., Lincolnshire, 847-634-0200 or online.

Mine

This weekend welcomes the Chicago premiere of Mine. Self-doubt and denial frame a new mom’s feelings toward her newborn daughter in playwright Laura Marks’ haunting story. The show runs through Sunday, August 11.

The Gift Theatre, 4802 N. Milwaukee, 773-283-7071 or online.
