Weekend Blotter: Almost 50 Shot On Bloodiest Weekend Of 2013

- After a hot summer weekend, seven people are dead and more than 40 people were wounded in the most violent weekend of 2013.

- One person was killed and 16 were wounded between Friday evening and Saturday morning. McGregory Porter, 24, was shot in the eye around 11 p.m. Friday in the Roseland neighborhood. Another man was shot in the abdomen in the same incident.

- A majority of the violence happened between Saturday evening and Sunday morning, when 26 people were shot, six killed. Read our full recap.

- Nine people were wounded in shootings between Sunday evening and Monday morning.

- Two people were killed in police-involved shootings over the weekend. Michael Westley, 15, was shot and killed by police in the Englewood neighborhood on Sunday after he allegedly pointed a gun at officers. Antwoyn Johnson, 24, was shot and killed by police after he allegedly attempted to flee a traffic stop and reached for a weapon. In a heartbreaking story, Johnson's mother and family were lighting candles in Antwoyn's memory when Michael Westley was shot and killed nearby.
