Film

The Northwest Chicago Film Society has found a temporary home for its screenings at the Patio Theater after Eddie Carranza closed the Portage Theater. The latest screening, June 19 at 8 p.m., is Samuel Fuller's The Crimson Kimono in a beautiful 35mm print from Sony Pictures Repertory. For fans of fuller, film noir or cats, this is an ideal movie night option. (6008 W. Irving Park Road, $5)

Music

We wrote about Pink Martini's June 19 concert at Millennium Park, the kickoff to this year's Grant Park Music Festival, last month. the weather should be perfect to catch the "little orchestra" in action, playing with Carlos Kalmar and the Grant Park Orchestra. (Jay Pritzker Pavilion, 6:30 p.m.)
