By Chuck Sudo in News on Jun 19, 2013 3:40PM

The final plans for the Bloomingdale Trail were unveiled at a public meeting Tuesday. When the project is completed it's expected to be the longest elevated park in the world.

According to DNAInfo Chicago the plans include a skate park on Ashland Avenue, an observatory designed to align with the setting sun, an event center and ADA-compliant ramps along every access point along the park.

We wrote Tuesday about the Bloomingdale Trail project and all associated parks being bundled under the brand "The 606." Groundbreaking for the project is set for August, with the project set to be completed in November 2014.
