If anyone had a book in him, it was Doug Sohn. The brains behind boudin blanc with sauce moutarde and truffle tomme cheese has long played encased meats like a Stradivarius. Now he has transferred everything that happens between the bun to paper in his magnum opus, Hot Doug’s: The Book, which he’ll discuss and sign copies of at Open Books Sunday, June 30 beginning at 10 a.m.

Those who pre-order copies of the meaty tell-all through Open Books—either by calling or stopping inside the store, where the half-off sale takes place this weekend—will be entered in a contest to win gift certificates to the legendary hot dog outpost. Samples of all Doug’s finest sausages will be on hand, so adjust your brunch plans accordingly.

Open Books is located at 213 W. Institute Pl.
