Pencil This In: Artisan Cocktail Dinner At Prasino

We're fans of Prasino, and the restaurant is hosting the Chicago Gourmet Artisan Cocktail Dinner on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Expect four courses of food from Executive Chef Riley Huddleston plus four drinks from Mixologist Todd Ekis and founding member of Chicago's Beverage Testing Institute and Director of Spirits Education for Southern Wine & Spirits, Mark Gruber.

Here's a peek at the menu:

AMUSE
Dish: Corn with orange, smoke and borage
Pairing: Peruvian Amigo with Pisco Porton, St. Germain Elderflower liqueur, lime, meringue, and Angoustura bitters

FIRST
Dish: Bluefin tuna with pineapple, wasabi and tonic
Pairing: Summer Smash with 10 Cane Rum, raspberry, grilled pineapple syrup, mint and lime

SECOND
Dish: Razor Clams with blossoms and bitter greens
Pairing: Ninjas in America with American Harvest Organic Vodka, St. Germain Elderflower liqueur, yuzu, sauvignon blanc, pear syrup and champagne syrup

THIRD
Dish: Lamb Bacon with scallops, pinenut and black truffles
Pairing: Enchanted with Hennessey Black, Clear Creek Apple Brandy, old fashioned syrup, apple reduction and cinnamon vanilla tincture

FOURTH
Dish: Bread Pudding
Pairing: 10 Cane Rum Punch with 10 Cane Rum, Hennessy Black, vanilla soy, chai and vanilla spiced syrup
