Today's Weather: Possibly Brutal

Let the record state that I installed the air conditioning unit in my window at 9;05 p.m. Friday night in anticipation of today's weather, which will mark the first extended heat wave of the year. Skilling Central predicts rain this morning that will taper off as the temperatures rise to the upper 80s, the winds gust from the southwest and the humidity becomes oppressive. And, as we all know, it's never the heat which makes Chicago summers uncomfortable for many, it's the humidity.
Buck up, troopers. This will stick with us for a while.
