Local rapper and friend of Chief Keef Lil Reese is in trouble with the law again. Reese was in bond court Sunday and charged with misdemeanor theft, the second time in less than two months Reese, whose real name is Tavares Taylor, has run afoul of the law.

The 20-year-old Taylor is accused of using “false documentation to obtain” a 2006 BMW 750 Li April 13. He was arrested Saturday in the 10100 block of South Halsted Street and bond was set by Cook County Judge Adam Bourgeois Jr. at $5,000.

Taylor was cited in April in Chicago for driving without a license or insurance, and arrested by Champaign police and charged with criminal trespass, mob action and battery in connection with the videotaped beating of a woman last October. The video quickly went viral before being pulled from YouTube and other outlets. Taylor tried to front and responded to the video by saying "haters gonna hate" before apologizing.
