Amy Matheny and Sofia Saffire emcee tonight's Windy City Gay Idol finals at Mayne Stage, hosted by Windy City Times. Special guests include Tony Award-winner Levi Kreis from Million Dollar Quartet, The Voice contestant De'Borah and American Idol contestant Josh "JDA" Davilla. But the real reason to attend is to watch amateur LGBTQ singers engage in fierce competition for a $5,000 prize package. Buy your tickets here. (1328 W. Morse Ave., 7 p.m., doors open 6 p.m.)

Tickets are still available for tonight's performance by Chris Stamey & The Fellow Travellers at SPACE in Evanston—plenty, in fact, if the venue's seating chart is to be believed. The founder of the dB's is also a respected solo artist and producer and is a must-watch in a live setting. Stamey is also in town for Friday's Big Star's Third concert at Park West.
