If you see the Stanley Cup somewhere today, it might be in a boat. That's how hard it's raining right now. It's nice to wake up to thunderstorms and the ones we'll be dealing with today will bring some relief to the mugginess of the past few days. Skilling Central and Accuweather disagree on the high temperature right now but the storms are expected to continue this morning, taper off a bit, then return this evening. The storms are fouling commutes throughout the area, so plan accordingly.

There's also a flash flood watch for Cook, Lake, McHenry and eastern Boone counties until 11:30 a.m., so start lifting things in your basements you don't want waterlogged.
