Patrick Kane Brings The Stanley Cup To Letterman

Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane brought the Stanley Cup and his Conn Smythe Trophy to New York Wednesday for an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman, where the two discussed the intensity of playoff hockey, what the Cup means to hockey players and fans, and where Kane plans to bring the Cup to next.
Kane, who shaved off his "beard" but kept his mullet, seemed to have fun with his party hound reputation and told Letterman the thrill of winning Lord Stanley's Cup is unparalleled. "You're lifting 35 pounds but it feels like nothing," he said, noting that Chicagoans have been running over each other the past two nights to get a glimpse of it. "Wherever that thing is, people tend to want to be there and be around it."
As for where the Cup may be next, we know it will make an appearance at Friday's parade and rally. Letterman tried to get Kane to talk about some of the other things the Cup is used for, but champion drinker Kane wouldn't bite. He did say he may bring the Cup to Saturday's Jimmy Buffett concert at Charter One Pavilion—Kane did the same thing during the Blackhawks' 2010 championship. (It should surprise no one that Kane is a Parrothead.)
The segment ended with Letterman asking Kane to take the Cup outside the Ed Sullivan Theater, where Kane and the Cup were promptly drenched by a water cannon.
