Wisconsin School Board Member: No Chromebooks Because Google Is Pro-Obama

The Germantown, WI School Board is considering purchasing 210 Google Chromebooks for students. School Board member Bruce Warnimont said he doesn't think it's a good idea because Chromebooks are a Google product and Google supports President Obama.
Okay. Other employees of the school district voiced more valid concerns, such as Director of Teaching and Learning Maria Kucharski, who wanted to make sure that the wireless infrastructure would be updated to support the use of Chromeboooks, since the current system doesn't.
The laptops would allow students to save their work to the cloud and access it both at school and at home. The 210 laptops and five carts to store them would cost about $63,200.
The board has tabled the decision for now and will revisit it in July when Director of Technology Marc Gabrysiak will answer questions, presumably about technology and not politics.
