Today's Weather: We're Halfway There

It's all downhill from here, damas y caballeros: Summer; baseball season; the rest of 2013. The weather to kick off the second half of the year couldn't be more pleasant. Skilling Central's forecast has us in store for brisk breezes from the northeast, plenty of sunshine and highs in the mid-70s once again. Those winds, by the way, have us under a small craft advisory and a beach hazards statement until 10 p.m. Tuesday. Boaters and swimmers use caution if you're dipping your toes in the lake. (The Park District, for what it's worth, reports no swim advisories along Chicago's beaches, so the water quality is okay.)
It's a short work week, people, Let's earn the extended weekend.
