Drink, Eat And Dance Through Lincoln Square At Square Roots

SqRoots_logo_280.png This weekend, head up to Lincoln Square for one of our favorite street fairs of the year. Ok, we might be biased because, well, Lincoln Square is the best neighborhood ever. But where else this weekend can you find a street fair pouring out more than 30 craft beers, serving high-end food from the some of the best restaurants in Chicago? Nowhere.

From July 12-14, Square Roots will be taking over Lincoln Avenue between Montrose and Wilson. The fun kicks off at 5 p.m. tonight with a concert at the North Stage by the Sanctified Grumblers. Admission is a suggested donation of $10 for adults.

We're most excited (surprise, surprise) by the beer list, which includes brews from 5 Rabbit, Finch's, Founders, Half Acre, Hinterland, Lagunitas, Metropolitan, Revolution, Two Brothers, Vander Mill and Virtue Cider. There will be food from local restaurants, including Fountainhead, Gather, Bistro Campagne, Tiny Lounge and Big Fork sausage.

Potentially the most exciting part? Jo Snow syrups, everyone's favorite local gourmet syrup company, is unveiling "Soda Hop," a new beer-inspired soda made with lemon-lime and cascade hops. They'll only have five gallons to sell, so get it before it disappears.
