Photos: Brookfield Zoo Animals Keep Cool In Heat Wave

Hani, a 10-year-old sloth bear, and her 6-month-old cub, keep cool at Brookfield Zoo with some frozen ice treats.

Youngsters watch as Hudson, one of the polar bears at Brookfield Zoo, seems to be enjoying a cool swim and a giant ice block. Staff gave some of the animals the frozen treats as temperatures climbed in the 90s today in the Midwest.

The animals at the Brookfield Zoo are trying to keep cool by playing with blocks of ice topped or filled with food. Oh, and they're super cute while they do it. Check out video below of them digging into their treats and jumping in the pool for a swim.
