Another prominent newspaper reporter is leaving a newsroom for greener pastures. This time, it's The Tribune's Monica Eng, who's leaving to become a segment producer and content provider at WBEZ.

Robert Feder provided the details on his Facebook page.

At WBEZ Eng will be a producer and on-air content provider for a variety of programs, including "Morning Shift," "Afternoon Shift" and "Worldview." Her duties also are expected to include writing a blog for the station's website.

Lane Tech grad Eng's print journalism career began at age 16 when her friend and mentor, Roger Ebert, landed her a job at the Sun-Times as a copy clerk and encouraged her to study journalism at the University of Illinois. She's been with the Tribune since 1996, is a James Beard Award nominee and most recently was an investigative reporter focusing on food policy and consumer issues.
